The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) is celebrating their Centenary year. The society was formed on 1st December 1916, when a meeting was called at Caxton Hall near Parliament to discuss the “alarming increase in traffic accidents, and the direct connection therewith of the restricted street lighting which had been necessitated by the War conditions”.
RoSPA’s Patron is Her Majesty the Queen and RJ Power Group were delighted to have invited by Royal Invitation to partake in the centenary celebrations.
The Centenary Royal Garden Party took place at Buckingham Palace on Thursday 25th May 2017, which was also attended by HRH The Duke of York, HRH Princess Eugenie of York and nearly 3,500 other guests. Chris Thomas and Bryan Lane attended on behalf of RJ Power Group for what was a wonderful event on an exceptionally hot and sunny afternoon.
RoSPA, are proud of their First World War beginnings and the fact that, 100 years later, they still exist to save lives and reduce injuries from accidents that don’t have to happen. RJ Power Group holds a current membership to RoSPA and have a shared mission, in our aim to get everyone home safe every day.
