SALARY Up to £40k depending on skills and experience

Holds a good level of technical knowledge in relation to maintenance activities- work tasks, procedures and equipment and tools required. Can demonstrate a good level of HSQE knowledge in relation to work activities of the business and promotes a open and positive safety culture- where the team feel the postholder is approachable and supportive in the promotion of best practice. Holds IOSH Managing Safety. Ability to form strong client relationships both face to face and via other methods. Good level of competence in using Microsoft Office- in particular Excel, Word, Outlook and Sharepoint. Basic understanding of RJ Power Networks aspirations for gaining external accreditations and the requirements to be met in order to achieve these.

Are you a highly organised individual with experience in the electrical industry, looking for an opportunity to be at the forefront of operations for a busy and successful team? We are looking to recruit a Maintenance Operations Manager to join RJ Power Networks and be responsible for the end to end coordination of the maintenance operation, through the effective deployment of both internal and external resources.

Job description

  • Take responsibility for resource allocation of the RJ Power Networks operational team to deliver an excellent service to our clients, whilst maintaining a focus on minimising team downtime.
  • Liaise with clients to book in both Installation works, routine maintenance activities and any other required works.
  • Work with the wider RJ Power Networks team to ensure all relevant paperwork and arrangements are completed prior to works taking place (e.g. Preliminary site visits, UKPN Attendance) and relevant documentation requested by the client is provided in a timely manner – as a minimum this will include detailed RAMS.
  • Ensure the Networks Resource scheduler is updated with the most up to date information, so the business has a clear view on activities taking place on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Liaise with the RJ Power Networks subcontractor group to support works where required- due to needing additional resource or specialist skills/experience.
  • Undertake line management duties for the RJ Power Networks operations team as requested by the Networks Director.
  • Work closely with the Projects team to share resource where required and support the multiskilling of the operational team.
  • Take ownership for the Maintenance process, following up and ensuring reports and any other close out activities are completed for the client in a timely manner. This will include the writing and checking of reports.
  • Provide input into the Training and Development plans of the operations team based on performance, individual and client requirements.
  • Undertake HSQE Site visits as a member of the Networks management team.
  • Support and perform site operations as required.
  • Provide the Networks Director with regular updates on the Maintenance Operation based on agreed target KPI’s and other deliverables.

Successful applicants will have the following:
