SALARY Up to £35k depending on skills and experience
EXPERIENCE Successful applicants will have the following:
  • Have recently completed or due to complete a relevant degree in the field of Quantity Surveying or similar (we are happy to discuss continued day release for those who are still studying).
  • The ability to work with Microsoft Office Programmes including Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and SharePoint.
  • A high level of Client relationship management skills (desirable).
  • Experience in working to deadlines and prioritising own work load.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to undertake a range of different tasks within the working day.
  • Problem solving abilities with a positive approach.
  • Recognition of commercially sensitive or confidential information and dealing with it appropriately.
  • A Level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification or be able to demonstrate an equivalent level of knowledge (desirable).

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals with experience or interest in the Electrical Engineering industry to join our Rail business as an Assistant Electrical Estimator/QS.

The successful candidates will enjoy a challenging and varied workload, providing a range of key support to the business including site visits, client meetings, completion of key sales documentation and working closely with the Operational delivery team to provide our clients with excellent service from start to finish.

The role will provide an exciting opportunity to learn from our highly experienced Business Development and Rail Operational teams, with an amazing opportunity to progress your career and play a key part in our already successful business.

Job description:

  • Build and retain positive and trusting relationships with prospective, new and existing clients
  • Complete detailed sales visits and surveys to support the production of detailed and accurate quotes and handover of technical information to the Operations team.
  • Complete PQQ’s, Tenders and Quotes.
  • Respond to and manage enquiries relating to the above
  • Liaise with the Procurement and Asset administrator and approved suppliers to ensure we always obtain competitive quotes and excellent service from our supply chain.
  • Work closely with the Operations Managers to appropriately direct resources and effectively plan for future requirements.
  • Follow up on Sales leads
